How did we do that?

Recently, one of our Box Office attendants Christine Quintana told me about a patron who asked - how did we create the advance photography for King John? Well, you fabulous anonymous patron, I'll tell you - you use a trampoline!
Here are some outtakes from that photo shoot, shot by photographer David Cooper. Director Dean Paul Gibson worked with Lucas Gustafson (playing Arthur in King John) for over an hour and a half to get him warmed up and comfortable.

And thanks to the brilliant skills of David, we were able to achieve the perfect shot.

King John
Mon, 08/20/2012 - 18:54 — GuestThoroughly enjoyed King John last night. Dean - you are brilliant, as always! I especially loved the animated titles and transitions - simple, but totally effective. Now, I'm not sure if it was the lighting, or just the intensity of the actors in this production, but there was a lot of spitting in this show - A LOT! At first I thought it was just this one particular character, but the more I was aware of it, the more I noticed everyone was projecting more than just their words! What's up with that? I've never noticed it in other shows, but maybe its just the intimacy of the Douglas stage. In any case, I'll be watching the Merry Wives of Windsor next week in my raingear.
Cheers,
Sharon
