Mighty Caesar, oblivious to jealousy among his senators, is about to be crowned emperor. Fearful that power will turn Caesar into a tyrant, Cassius plots his assassination. He wins over Caesar’s friend Brutus and other senators and they stab their leader to death. However, Caesar’s loyal friend Mark Antony uses brilliant oratory to stir up the people and the rebels now face war to gain control in Rome. Katrina Dunn gives this production a Renaissance setting incorporating allusions to both the Elizabethan and the classical eras.
