Bard Explored: A Shakespeare Lecture Series

Enrich your Bard experience through one or more of these events providing insight into the world of Shakespeare and his plays conducted by Simon Fraser University's Dr. Paul Budra.

FORUM: SHAKESPEARE AT WAR - $10

Monday, July 12, 7:00pm

Shakespeare included elements of war: battle scenes, fear of invasion, civil insurrection, even reminiscences of military feats in an astonishing number of his plays. Join Dr. Paul Budra, Bard’s Director of Education Mary Hartman, and members of the Bard Company in exploring the dramatic impact of personal and military conflict in this season’s plays.

 

EXPLORING THE PLAYS - $10.00 each

Join Dr. Budra as he shares his insights into each of this season’s plays. These lectures are scheduled so you can opt to attend the corresponding play that afternoon at 3pm.

Lectures are held on site in the Bard performance tents, Saturdays at 10:30am.
